Epson Workforce Pro WF-3820DWF-The WF-3720DWF from Epson can be a mid-range inkjet MFP for the home office. The WF-3720DWF’s appearance is very much the same as the old light refresh of the previous WF-3620DWF: it’s a replacement, less waste, additional upright style, and a replacement clear color touchscreen that provides direct management of functions.

It will print, scan, fax, and duplicate, features a 35-page automatic document feeder (ADF) and connects to a wired or wireless network – just about anything that might appear in a major office or small business.

The Epson Workforce Pro WF-3820DWF can be a great all-in-one for major office tasks, despite missing out on duplex scanning and repetitive practicality. Unfortunately, there’s another pressing issue: at the time of our review, the most affordable price we could possibly realize for the XL cartridge was nine.3p per color page, far more than the main competitor and about five-hundredth more than the WF-3620DWF. While it’s common for prices for new offering ranges to decrease over time, we won’t fully recommend the WF-3720DWF until they do – for now, we’ll continue with the older WF-3620DWF.

The Epson Workforce Pro WF-3820DWF will perform duplex scanning, copying, faxing, and printing, the WF-3720DWF has no duplex ADF – you will print each side mechanically, but cannot scan, copy, or fax. Epson has also removed the Mount Rushmore State card slot, which can be unfortunate, though there’s still a USB port for direct printing and scanning. the impression is that the MFP has been tidied up, but downgraded a bit at the same time.

Other than that, there’s still a lot to love about the WF-3720DWF. The new touchscreen is great, responding to certain faucet and drag movements as you navigate intuitive menus. The build quality looks better than some competitors, with durable, non-removable drawers and covers. Epson’s computer and smartphone code remains fresh and easy to use, although we tend not to be blown away by the new simplified computer scanning interface – we liked the former.

Printing quality

On plain paper, it’s a fairly fast printer, managing 19.2 A4 pages per minute (ppm) on our mono text check, and 5.6ppm on our additional complex color graphics check. At 3 sides per minute, duplex prints compete, but image prints are slow – each 6×4 print takes 3 minutes.

We also expected a faster scanner. Low-res previews and scans were fine, but it took twenty-eight seconds to scan the image at 600dpi, and 2 and 0.5 minutes at 1,200dpi – the latter is roughly 5 times what the WF-3620DWF managed in a detailed review. same.

Epson Workforce Pro WF-3820DWF Price

The Epson Epson Workforce Pro WF-3820DWF Wireless All-in-One Printer is professional, and can be obtained on the Epson website for $149.99. I notice it’s always low considering what it’s going to do, and I’m happy to mention that it will do every scan and fax, which I hope to use in the future.
