Sony ZF-1 Digital Camera Full Specs-The Sony ZV-1 is the most powerful pocket vlogging camera you can buy right now. It takes the best video features of the Sony RX100 series, including a class-leading autofocus system, and combines them with design improvements that make it ideal for capturing YouTube videos at home or on the go.
Its main strength is the combination of a bright 2-70mm f/1.8-2.8 lens with Sony’s Live Tracking and Live Eye AF system. Combined with the ZV-1’s 1-inch sensor, which is larger than today’s smartphones, they make it easy to capture high-quality vlogs with nice background blur and smooth focus.
Sony ZF-1 Digital Camera For Content Creators Review
If you’re looking for a practical device for creating video content, consider the latest Sony ZV-1 camera. It is a compact camera with the same 1-inch sensor as the RX100 series, but optimized for video recording.
Some important changes include a convertible screen, which is very useful for vlogging, recording vertical videos and makes filming from low or high angles easier. The internal microphone quality is above average with a directional 3-capsule microphone and can pick up sound coming from the front of the camera quite well.
The sales kit also comes with dead paint that sticks to the hot shoe, which is useful for muting the muffled sounds of wind gusts. The best part is that Sony still offers a 3.5mm microphone port and a protective shoe. The built-in microphone is quite reliable in emergency situations, but an external microphone should be used for better sound quality.
Although the aperture is, large F1.8-2.8 because the Sony ZV-1 sensor is relatively small which is 1 inch. So don’t expect dramatic bokeh results like those produced by APS-C sensors, let alone the whole image.
When entering a product display, this function ensures that the products displayed in front of the camera are in focus. This may seem trivial, but it definitely comes in handy for things like device reviewers.
This camera is, for content creators and you can use the Sony ZV-1 as your only camera, but I recommend it as a second camera. YouTubers can use the ZV-1 for multi-camera solutions and facilitate video production in public spaces. It is also a powerful tool for influencers and celebrities to create better content than smartphones produce.
We also recommend you the Sony A6100 camera which will make your videos even better

Sony ZV-1 VIdio Quality Performance
Maybe someone is, still confused where is the real location of Sony ZV-1? I think the Sony ZV-1 fills the gap between smartphones and mirrorless cameras and is also an alternative to action cameras.
The video recording quality of smartphone cameras is quite good, but less reliable in low light.
It is clear that smartphones are not the optimal device for conventional video production. In my opinion, a mirrorless camera is a better choice for video stuff. However, due to the relatively large size of a mirrorless camera, some people feel uncomfortable using it.
However, compact cameras are definitely more functional compared to action cameras. Sony says the ZV-1 is designed to capture short or long videos of everyday moments and share them on social media or create video content for YouTube. Recordings can be easily transferred to a smartphone and edited using the Imaging Edge Mobile app.
When the product showcase is enabled, the camera disables face priority in the focus settings. So that objects closer to the camera are in focus, even if our face is in the picture. Since the Sony ZV-1’s autofocus system is fast, the focus shift seems smooth.
Sony ZF-1 Digital Design and Specifications
Sony has redesigned the design and physical controls. Starting with a vari-angle display, sacrificing the pop-up EVF for a hot shoe and replacing the pop-up flash with a three-capsule directional microphone.
Furthermore, the physical mode dial in camera mode has been replaced with regular buttons, as well as the video recorder button. Shutter button with zoom lever, background defocus button and power button.
Also, the lens guide ring is cut off and the belt fans can be a little disappointing. Since the ZV-1 only has the lanyard hook on the right, this is understandable, as it would obstruct the screen when flipped over with the lanyard hook on the left.
The only control wheel is, on the front and is universal for adjusting shutter speed, aperture, ISO, manual focus and menu navigation. Like most Sony cameras, the 3-inch touchscreen has a resolution of 921,600 dots, functionality is limited to touch focus, and the aspect ratio is 3:2 instead of 16:9 for video.
Microphone and HDMI ports are on the right. Unfortunately, it still uses the outdated microUSB port for charging, so be sure to bring a microUSB data cable with you when you travel. We can’t use mobile phone charger because most of them already use USB Type-C interface.
The Sony ZV-1 uses the same NP-BX1 type battery as the RX100 series. Its capacity is small, offering only 260 images or 5 minutes of video recording.
Sony ZF-1 Digital Video Features
Sony ZV-1 Video Features | Photo by Lukman Azis / Dailysocial The Sony ZV-1 can record UHD K video at 2p/30p full pixel. Readout without pixel banding in XAVC S format, with K video recording time limited to 5 minutes by default. To remove this limitation, we need to change the automatic shutdown temperature from constant to high.
Sony claims the ZV-1 can record K video for over 30 minutes and supports Active SteadyShot. It is indeed interesting, but it does not mean that the body of the Sony ZV-1 does not overheat, because the body is small, before 30 minutes the warning of overheating will appear.
Meanwhile, the Sony ZV-1 supports 2fps, 30fps, 60fps and 120fps at 1080p. My favorite feature is the high frame rate mode, which captures in low resolution and upscales to 1080p. At 2
0 fps the results are quite good, but at 80 fps and 960 fps the noise starts to appear.
Video recorder supports picture profiles such as S-Log2, S-Log3, HLG and others. A pretty cool feature that offers flexibility during post-production, even though the video output is still 8-bit.
